Master Electrician Leadership Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Special Projects Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of an electrical service department. This role involves leading a team of electricians and support staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high safety standards, and meeting project timelines and budgets. The Special Projects Manager is responsible for fostering a productive team environment while driving department growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of electricians, technicians, and support staff. Assign tasks, manage workloads, and evaluate performance. Facilitate training programs to ensure team members are up to date with industry best practices and safety standards.
Operational Management:
Plan and schedule electrical service projects, ensuring timely completion within budget. Oversee procurement of materials and equipment for service jobs. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
Customer Relations:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Prepare and present estimates, proposals, and reports to customers. Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Address and document incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor department budgets, labor costs, and profitability metrics. Approve invoices and ensure accurate billing. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategies to expand service offerings and market share. Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities. Contribute to overall company planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Journeyman or Master Electrician certification (depending on location requirements). Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical services, including leadership roles. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes. Proficiency in project management and scheduling software. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with AccuBid software
