Marine Service Manager Position Available In Halifax, North Carolina

Marine Service Manager Rock Outdoors 417 Lizard Creek Road, Littleton, NC 27850 Rock Outdoors is looking for a Service Manager for our Littleton, NC location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and supervision of all areas pertaining to the Marine Service portion of the business. This position is responsible for learning all phases of store operations to ensure that Rock Outdoors standards and best practices are met.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises and assists Warranty Specialist, Parts Specialist, Service Writers, and Technicians as needed
• Manages daily responsibilities of the Service Shop workload and scheduling technicians including sales and operational plans, store and department standards, cash handling/settlements, truck shipments, and inventory control.
• Orders all parts for daily work orders, stock and marine retail.
• Work with marine sales to order items required for boat deals
• Analyzes sales history and inventory levels to reorder marine goods as needed
• Supervises and coaches Marine Staff in providing efficient and friendly service at the registers, boat drop off, sales floor, etc.
• Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training employees for parts and service.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops / maintains awareness of new products.
• Communicates with accounting with regards to inventory and transactions as needed.
• Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism always.
• Work with other Rock Outdoor locations as needed
• Assist with marine staff to set up and break down boat shows
• Accepts special assignments as directed by Leadership.
• Works in tandem with the Marine Sales Manager and Retail Manager to ensure good overall health of the facility and its operations
• Follows all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention guidelines to deter theft.

Marine Sales Manager Requirements:

• Possesses excellent customer service skills, communication and listening skills, ability to learn and execute the concept.
• Experience with driving a forklift
• Willingness to become DOT driving certified
• Possesses strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel for Boat Shows and other Rock Outdoors locations as required
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Marine knowledge is required
