Cheesemonger Orrman’s Cheese Shop 224 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 Orrman’s Cheese Shop is a family run, independent cheese shop established in 2012. Located in the Market at 7th Street in Uptown Charlotte, we offer a selection of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie and specialty grocery items. In addition to retail, we have a cheese bar with a small, primarily cheese-focused menu featuring cheese & charcuterie boards, grilled cheese sandwiches and tinned seafood. We are looking to add a cheesemonger to our small team. The candidate we’re looking for not only must love cheese, but must enjoy sharing their knowledge of cheese and food and engage the customer across the counter. Responsibilities Provide top notch customer service Cut to order cheese and charcuterie based on customer needs Make available recommendations for accompaniments and uses of items purchased. Stock and merchandise; making sure the shop looks great all day while maintaining FIFO. Maintain a clean and organized working environment Communicate proactively with the manager concerning items needed, customer requests, customer feedback, etc. Monitor inventory in the case and on the shelves, receive orders and maintain organization of back stock.
