Electrification and Automation:
The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid! The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on electric-vehicle charging, photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of electric-vehicle chargers, low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility. We are looking for a Field Service Manager . This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
Overview:
The Global Customer Care Field Service Manager will be responsible for managing the
SI EA GCC
Field Service Team while ensuring proper troubleshooting and warranty repairs are performed for products supplied by the Siemens SI EA business unit. These products include low voltage motor control centers, medium voltage air insulated and gas insulated switchgear and others. Close communication with both Siemens associates and our Customer is a must.
Responsibilities:
Provide proper work scheduling for each technician while ensuring proper knowledge-based training and tooling are provided for successful customer visit Work with our customers (internal and external) to schedule technicians to correct warranty related issues at site Ensure our technicians will work in safe conditions by discussion of safety protocols for each customer location as well as ensuring proper training has been provided to each of our Siemens technicians. Develop detailed training plans for new and seasoned technicians alike Ensure the team maintains proper certifications for site work Work with our technicians to ensure timely field service reporting, time entry and financial actions take place Provide technical support for not only our customers but also to our various internal Siemens’ teams Provide optimal customer service while keeping site manhours under control to aid in reduction of after delivery costs Utilize Salesforce for team communications You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred with emphasis on Electrical and/or Mechanical principles 5 or more years of experience with performing Mechanical and Electrical adjustments to power distribution Equipment (low voltage and medium voltage preferred) Must be able to work with customers in a professional manner, even in situations where there may be significant pressure to resolve the issues at hand Able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing to customers and Siemens personnel Basic computing skills (MS office, email, web-based program usage, etc.) Experience reading and understanding wiring schematics A dedicated Team Player and Self Motivated Able to respond to Emergency Service Requests as needed Knowledge of Industry Safety Practices is expected (OSHA 30, LOTO, NFPA 70E, and others) Up to 10% travel (may require International travel as well)
Preferred Qualifications:

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
