The Service Administrator will share the responsibility of handling all inbound and outbound customer service calls and emails, following up directly or referring issues out to other team members. Scheduling is a significant portion of the work. 80% of scheduling is done proactively (annual scheduled services) and 20% is quick-service response. You must be able to assess how services of different lengths and locations fit together in an efficient schedule and also be able to figure out how to adjust schedules to accommodate quick-service requests. You will receive company training, but, good judgment and understanding of travel in the Northeast are also essential. This is a permanent position and is intended to be in the office 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (schedule can be flexible). However, for the right candidate we are open to other arrangements, including part-time work.
Job Functions:
Provide exceptional customer service to customers. Handle and triage incoming calls and emails. Organize and annotate customer logs with adequate notes and information. Scheduling field service technicians – this requires basic geographical knowledge (e.g., knowing which calls make sense to schedule together due to their locations and ease of travel), and a reasonable knowledge of travel on the East coast (e.g., avoiding Boston rush-hour or Cape traffic). Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective communication and workflow within the office.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to work with little supervision. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. The ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork. Computer literate, proficient with Google Suite applications and other electronic applications. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting. An ability to quickly learn new tasks. Sound decision-making skills and judgment. Candidates with a working knowledge of getting into and around New York City (bridges, tunnels, etc.) will have an advantage.
