Little Ferry, NJ | Full-Time | 10% Travel Required Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for service excellence and team development? Advancing Eyecare is looking for an experienced Service Manager to oversee daily operations and drive performance. This role is key to ensuring our technical staff deliver high-quality service, on time, and with pride.
What You’ll Do:
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of in-house service technicians Distribute work effectively and schedule tasks using our internal service database Hire, train, and onboard new team members Monitor and improve service processes, productivity, and quality control Ensure all work is completed thoroughly, accurately, and with attention to detail Maintain compliance with internal policies and support company-wide initiatives Analyze team performance and service metrics to recommend operational improvements Oversee inventory and returns, and ensure accurate service billing and documentation Respond to customer and internal inquiries with professionalism and urgency
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of relevant experience (8+ in industry-specific roles) Prior experience managing or supervising a service or technical team Knowledge of electronics is a plus Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Physical ability to move equipment up to 100 lbs (with or without assistance) Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent business applications A self-motivated, team-oriented mindset
