Job Summary:

Responsible for a vast range of customer service duties daily, to include but not limited to; residential service, residential billing, customer service and inside residential sales. Supports customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and responding to complaints. Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting 6 – 8 hours or more per day. Occasionally; push and pull with arms, reach with arms and/or hands, crouch, bend, or kneel. Frequently; Sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, grasp, climb stairs. Constant; motion of hands and/or wrists (e.g., Typing). Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Close mental and visual attention required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring close coordination and fine adjustment.

Essential Functions:

Customer service: answering phones/emails. All residential billing aspects (quarterly bills, auto cc payments, late notices, monitoring credit hold customers). Ordering office supplies. Paperwork for other departments as needed. Residential subscription sales.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic computer skills that include the ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet and perform basic processing, bookkeeping and/or data entry. Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. Some analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner, in person, via phone, or in written correspondence. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-term goals. Ability to work productively in a fast paced, stressful environment.

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

This position requires the regular use of a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, telephone, scanner, calculator, adding machine, typewriter, postage meter.

Computer Software:

Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, Excel, Desert Micro.

Physical, Mental, and Visual Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. Close mental and visual attention required for controlling machines or processes at a rapid pace requiring close coordination and fine adjustment. Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must communicate verbally, see physical surroundings, hear others and demonstrate good communication skills.

Requirements:

High school diploma 2-4 years experience as a customer service representative, billing clerk and/or receptionist Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.

Environmental Conditions:

There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
