Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispensary Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our licensed cannabis dispensary. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who ensures compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations, delivers exceptional customer service, manages staff effectively, and drives overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance Ensure all dispensary operations are in full compliance with state and local cannabis laws (e.g., NYS OCM regulations). Maintain accurate records and reporting as required by law. Manage inventory, METRC (or BioTrack) tracking systems, and ensure proper product handling and storage. Staff Management Schedule, and manage dispensary staff. Responsible for performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development. Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. Customer Experience Ensure high-quality customer service and support. Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve issues promptly. Promote product knowledge and education among staff and customers. Sales & Operations Meet or exceed sales goals and KPIs. Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and loss prevention. Monitor dispensary performance, including sales data, staffing, and expenses. Facility Oversight Maintain cleanliness, safety, and visual merchandising standards. Coordinate with security staff and vendors as necessary. Oversee opening and closing procedures and daily cash handling.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in retail management; cannabis industry experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of state cannabis laws and regulations (NYS OCM if in New York). Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with POS and inventory management systems (e.g., Dutchie, BioTrack, Alleaves, Treez). Must be 21+ and able to pass all background checks as required by state law.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field. Experience managing cannabis compliance systems and SOPs. Familiarity with cannabis products, effects, and responsible use.

$70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
