Service Manager/Writer Location:
Avoca, NY Pay:
$20-$25/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM We’re currently hiring a Service Manager/Writer for a busy, well-established automotive shop in the Avoca area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a small team and creating a great experience for customers.
Position Overview:
You’ll be responsible for managing daily operations in the shop, overseeing a team of 3-4 technicians, and handling all customer interactions. The current head mechanic has been managing both technical and customer-facing tasks, but the business is growing and in need of someone with strong communication skills and attention to detail to take on this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone Write repair orders, schedule service appointments, and manage job flow Coordinate with technicians and ensure timely service Order parts and maintain accurate service records Provide updates to customers and ensure satisfaction

Previous experience in a service writer or automotive management role Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
