The Custom Order Lead is the face of our custom ordering experience—managing client interactions and coordinating cake and pastry orders for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. This is a hands-on, detail-focused position for someone who loves working with people, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Management Manage and convert custom order leads for weddings, events, and special requests. Create detailed proposals, contracts, and order forms. Maintain expert knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and add-on services. Use Toast Catering & Events and POS systems to manage leads and process orders. Support training for front desk and cake shop staff. Client Relations Serve as the main point of contact for custom clients. Conduct in-person and virtual consultations and tastings. Maintain regular client communication and accommodate special requests. Attend industry expos and promotional events as needed. Operations & Coordination Coordinate with production teams to ensure order accuracy and quality. Oversee timelines, scheduling, and day-of order execution. Ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that arise promptly.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong customer service and/or sales background (custom orders a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Familiarity with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) Experience with Toast POS or similar systems (preferred, not required) Ability to lift 40+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work weekends/holidays Team player with initiative, accountability, and a love for food and people Why Join Us?
