As a key leader within our organization, the Service Manager will drive the success of the branch by providing expert support and guidance to our field service team. This role involves coaching and training technicians in equipment handling, industry procedures, technical techniques, and customer service skills. Additionally, the Service Manager will oversee branch operations to ensure continued growth in service revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Working collaboratively with Branch Operations personnel (including Dispatch, Parts, and Administration), the Service Manager will play a crucial role in achieving exceptional service levels and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing, technically skilled field service team Provide hands-on support to technicians for installations, preventative maintenance, warranty, post-warranty, and emergency service visits Deliver coaching and training on products, service techniques, and customer service best practices Consistently meet or exceed customer satisfaction targets Foster talent development and growth within the team Drive employee retention and engagement through effective leadership and support Oversee approximately 20 direct reports to ensure operational success
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or high school diploma required Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in a service-oriented environment Expertise in sales strategy, customer development, and relationship building Strong knowledge of annual operating plans and long-term business strategies Proven experience managing P&L, controlling costs, inventory management, and overseeing customer-facing performance metrics (KPI, etc.) In-depth understanding of commercial food equipment service and products Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
