Cashier/Customer Service Hertha’s Seconds Boutique Gulf Shores, AL 36542 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include processing transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately. Process customer transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively. Upsell products when appropriate to enhance the customer experience. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner. Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Qualifications Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. Familiarity with retail math to assist in transactions and inventory management. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls or inquiries. Experience with cash registers or POS systems is advantageous. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer relations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
