Job responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries. Prepare service work orders. Coordinate work order tasks with technicians. Includes pulling or ordering of parts daily for service work, then allocation parts to technicians as they arrive. Monitor warranty and insurance work and communicate with adjusters. Assure that vessel is inspected prior to delivery. Helps maintain parts inventory control system, ensuring product stock is adequate Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory Process and submit vendor orders, stock shelves as required Helps maintain an organized parts room Help customers find parts and accessories quickly and accurately via schematics and parts catalogs Generate special orders for customer requests of non-stocked items Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit Pick up parts from local vendors. Deliver parts to technicians at job sites. May also perform duties of additional staff when necessary.
Applicant requirements:
Familiarization with Lightspeed software would be helpfull. Seeking individual that is organized and possesses excellent computer, communication and leadership skills Experience in marine gas and diesel repairs preferred. Reliable means of transportation to and from work. Must have clean driving record. The ideal candidate would have prior marine technician experience and has interest in moving towards a management role. Knowledge of marine service is required.
