Client Services Assistant Wealth Strategies, LLC Birmingham, AL, US 2 days ago Quick Job type Full-time Quick Job description Wealth Strategies, LLC is a financial planning firm looking to hire an organized, detail-oriented person who enjoys helping people and problem-solving. The person in this position provides support to the advisors and associates by preparing paperwork and reports for clients, submitting and following up on the paperwork, scheduling appointments, and helping clients with administrative requests. This position also works with the office manager to plan marketing pieces and schedule client events. This employee also cross-trains with other administrative personnel and helps to meet the daily needs of the office. It is a full-time in-person position in our Birmingham office (Riverchase area). Responsibilities Learn to prepare, process, and follow up on basic client paperwork Schedule appointments for advisors and prepare meeting documents Prepare monthly articles for compliance review and distribution Assist with database and file maintenance across several web-based systems Assist with answering / screening phone calls and welcoming visitors to the office Assist with general office appearance, including some weekly cleaning tasks Assist with local client events as needed (generally 2-4 times / year) Qualifications If you are a person who balances your bank account, understands the basics of your personal tax return, can generally correctly fill out paperwork, and has the patience needed to help people figure out what they need and how to make it happen, this job might be for you. The minimum required education level is a high school diploma or GED. Applicants with administrative support experience will be given preference, especially if it is in the financial services industry or a similar profession. Candidates must have strong verbal communication skills, specifically over the phone. Equally important are solid writing / grammar skills, both because email comprises a large part of our client communication and because of the light writing and editing required for the monthly articles. The ability to navigate Microsoft Windows on a desktop computer and use the internet is a must, as is a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher). Experience with formatting articles or designing invitations or handouts is a plus. Our industry requires that employees be fingerprinted and subjected to a background check ; those prints and results will be retained by our broker-dealer, Lion Street Financial. Lion Street must approve the new-hire before employment can begin. Our office is small, and close quarters makes our ability to work peacefully together of utmost importance. A positive, cheerful attitude and a willingness to be a present and contributing member of our team is critical. We want to be better because you are here. Salary and Benefits The starting salary for this position is $45,000 with potential adjustments for background and experience. There will be a review of performance and salary after six months and annual reviews after that. Bonuses are occasionally paid out based on firm profitability and how each individual has contributed to that success; they are strictly unscheduled and at the owner’s discretion. The firm pays the full premium for individual medical and dental insurance coverage through Blue Cross / Blue Shield. Family coverage can be added, and the employee will be responsible for the additional premiums for that coverage. After six months, the employee is eligible to participate in our Simple IRA plan with a company match of up to 3% of annual salary. Paid holidays begin at hire and follow the NYSE holiday schedule. Vacation / paid time off begins accruing after six months of employment. Payroll will be adjusted for any time out of the office prior to that six-month date. This position is full-time and in the office. We can offer some flexibility in scheduled hours within reason and in the context of other employees’ schedules. Administrative work hours are 8 : 30
