Your job with us would include running a cash register with accuracy and speed, greeting customers with a smile and letting them know our current sales, as well as some other duties as assigned. At our main campus we provide shelter and warm meals to hundreds of people each day. We have a gospel based LIFE recovery program for anyone that is looking for life-long change and freedom from problems such as alcoholism and drug addiction, as well as relief from emotional, mental, and physical abuse. In addition, we provide daily food bags, emergency shelter, and have an Agape Shop where anyone in need of clothing can come and shop at no expense to them- which is all great, but true goal is to share the Gospel and love of Christ. The Downtown Rescue Mission is funded solely from donations and our thrift stores – that’s where you come in. When you work, volunteer, donate or shop at one of our thrift stores, you are helping meet the spiritual and physical needs of the hurting and homeless of the Tennessee Valley.
