ABOUT US:

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our stellar front desk team in providing outstanding client service and patient care. Our receptionists set the first impression with our clients and patients; therefore, applicants must be friendly, professional, and courteous, and must love clients and their pets! Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service skills, be computer literate, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Work for an intimate practice with an established history with the community that will allow you to use what you’ve learned and help you get to the next level! Pay:

This is an hourly position, depending on experience level, education, and relevant certifications between $17-21/hour. This is also a full-time position that will be scheduled for typically between 30-40 hours per week. Under 30 hours can be discussed. This schedule will also include working a minimum of one Saturday a month.

Typical shift times are:

8 AM – 6PM (with a one-hour lunch break.) 8 AM -1 PM 1 PM – 6 PM Skills & Requirements Compassion and sensitivity: Ability to be sensitive to an ill pet, as well as its concerned owner.

Customer service skills:

Ability to provide friendly, efficient service to clients in-person, as well as on the phone. Considerable tact and diplomacy is required.

Interpersonal skills:

Ability to feel comfortable dealing with clients, patients, staff, and others.

Reliability:

Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions in order to fulfill the requirements of this position.

Technology skills:

Ability to operate office technology such as computers, tablets, scanners, fax machines, and copiers. Ability to remain calm during emotional and stressful situations, as well as ability to handle patients on a leash or carrier. Receptionists are expected to move through different areas, such as multiple workstations, waiting areas, inventory, treatment, and exam rooms. Ability to multitask. Ability to manage office operations such as taking messages, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient files.

Communication skills:

efficiently communicate with other staff and clients, both in writing and verbally. Must appropriately read invoices, process payments and deposits. Must possess basic math skills as well as proper handling of cash and checks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to. Check-in/out, taking payments, receiving & making calls, paging, faxing, printing, transcribing voicemails, sending emails, scheduling, confirmation calls/texting, cleaning, training and other clerical duties.
