Duties Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the shopping experience. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area while ensuring all stock is properly displayed. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve store performance. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring product availability. Utilize POS systems efficiently for processing sales and returns. Apply retail math skills to manage transactions and provide accurate change. Experience Previous experience in a cashier or sales role is preferred, particularly within a grocery store or retail environment. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers or POS systems. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Experience in supervising or collaborating within a team setting is a plus. Knowledge of stock management practices and retail math is advantageous.
