Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service & Dispatcher to join our team at an interstate moving company. This role is essential to ensuring seamless communication between customers, drivers, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls, dispatching drivers, coordinating schedules, and providing exceptional service throughout the customer journey. This position requires multitasking across two computer screens, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer high-volume inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Serve as the main point of contact for customers before, during, and after their move. Schedule and dispatch moving crews for interstate jobs, ensuring efficient routing and time management. Monitor job progress and proactively communicate any changes or delays to customers. Use multiple computer systems and screens to track schedules, update job statuses, and log communications. Coordinate with the operations and logistics team to manage driver availability and truck assignments. Handle customer complaints or issues by identifying solutions and escalating when necessary. Maintain accurate records of all interactions, move details, and service updates in the CRM system. Confirm job details with drivers and ensure they have the correct paperwork, addresses, and customer information. Follow up with customers post-move to ensure satisfaction and resolve any outstanding issues. Assist with billing inquiries, deposits, and verifying payment statuses when needed. Support overall office administration, including document management and basic reporting. Know the system GRANOT.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in customer service or dispatching, ideally in the moving, logistics, or transportation industry. Strong communication skills—verbal and written. Ability to multitask across dual-screen systems and navigate various software tools. Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Calm under pressure and able to handle stressful situations professionally. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with CRM systems, dispatching software, and general office tools (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
