Job Overview Provide over the phone support to patients, doctors offices, and other external entities. Assisting with general information inquiries, scheduling, new patient intake, confirming upcoming appointments, and directing calls to appropriate departments. Keys to success are excellent customer service, phone etiquette, attention to detail, ability to work with a team, and handle high call volume. Patient support specialists are the front line of contact for the practice, and are vital for creating, maintaining, and growing patient/referral source relationships which drive practice growth. Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, direct to appropriate departments when necessary
- Schedule/reschedule new patient/follow-up visits
- Collect new patient demographics, insurance info, etc. and create patient chart in practice managment software
- Follow up on answering service messages/voicemails
- Confirm all appointments
- Other tasks as assigned by supervior/administration Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year customer service/call center experience (1 year medical office experience preferred)
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills a must. Bilingual a plus.
- Must have a smiling personality, be reliable, and efficient
