This position is responsible for advising customers on services necessary for the maintenance and repair of the truck and on other available services. Position Responsibilities Examine records to verify the warranty and service coverage and explain provisions and exclusions to the customer. Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles. Follow the repair process up to completion and prepare an invoice for the repair order. Oversee the service area and technicians. Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities. Any other job-related activities requested by immediate supervisor. A successful candidate will exhibit a strong problem-solving ability, thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess an above average computer proficiency, be self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, and have attention to detail. This position may require a flexible schedule. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years’ experience in the service department. Valid driver license with a good driving record. Ability to move diesel trucks, as needed, on the premises is a plus. Physical Requirements This position is normally performed outside or in a garage that may expose employee to wet and/or humid conditions. The position may involve occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and involves repetitive sounds caused by heavy machinery.
