Job Overview:

This position requires a dedicated Customer Service Representative to be a part of our team in Jasper, Florida. This role involves interacting with residents to facilitate payments for local water, gas, and trash services, as well as managing billing statements and service orders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to handle payment transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Receive and process payments for water, gas, and trash services from residents and businesses.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Generate and distribute monthly billing statements accurately and on schedule.
Handle delinquent accounts by creating turn-off and turn-on work orders for city employees to enforce payment compliance.
Maintain accurate records of payments received, transactions processed, and customer interactions.
Collaborate with other city departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve customer issues effectively.
Stay updated on city policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate information to customers.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.
Proven experience in customer service or a related field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office; experience with billing systems is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
