Service Writer/Advisor Brooksville Off Road & Automotive, LLC 1220 East Jefferson Street, Brooksville, FL 34601 Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring that their automotive service needs are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, including experience with diesel engine repair and service writing. The Service Writer will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction while supporting the shop’s operations. Responsibilities Greet customers and assess their service needs, providing exceptional customer service at all times. Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues to facilitate effective communication with technicians. Prepare and present estimates for repairs, including oil changes, brake services, and alignment checks. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services and repairs. Transmit work orders to the shop floor and follow up on the status of repairs. Assist in automotive sales by promoting additional services based on customer needs. Ensure that all customer interactions are logged in the system for future reference. Requirements Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within a shop environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including diesel engine repair and general automotive maintenance. Familiarity with service writing software and tools used in the automotive industry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A background in mechanics is advantageous but not mandatory.
