In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service in a restaurant environment. Your primary responsibilities will include operating the cash register, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Responsibilities Operate the cash register and POS system efficiently and accurately. Process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs. Assist customers with product inquiries and upselling additional items when appropriate. Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and assist with restocking as needed. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding displays. Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues as necessary. Utilize effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with transactions and provide change accurately. Ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive customer experience. Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels effectively. A friendly demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
