Cashier/Customer Service Tys Hometown Cafe & Bistro 600 NW 1st Avenue, Miami, FL 33136 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with product inquiries, and promoting sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. A strong emphasis on cash handling and retail sales experience is essential for success in this position. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, handling cash transactions with precision. Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement. Upsell products by effectively communicating features and benefits to customers. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a pleasant shopping environment. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction. Drive Food Truck (CDL License is any but not required) Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base. Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus. Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale systems. A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer experience. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
