DME/ HME
Company to join our team! The Intake Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing incoming orders and inquiries for durable medical equipment. This role involves communicating with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
Receive and process incoming orders for durable medical equipment via phone, fax, and email. Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician prescriptions. Accurately enter order details into the company’s order management system.
Customer Interaction:
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Educate customers on product offerings, insurance coverage, and order status.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate for each order. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and insurance requirements. Assist in maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely equipment delivery and setup. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation and clarify order details.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or durable medical equipment setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in using computer systems and software, including order management systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
