Customer Service Representative Birk Aerosystems Corporation 7201 Lake Ellenor Drive, Orlando, FL 32809 Customer Service Representative Birk Aerosystems Corporation (BAC) manufactures interior products for the aviation industry. BAC is searching for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a multi-faceted position in a dynamic environment. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, resolve inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer Service Representative will play a critical role in communication and supporting the needs of our customer. This position requires an understanding of our product line, the ability to review standard engineering documentation, and the skill to communicate information in a clear and concise manner. The representative will work closely with both sales, production and engineering teams to ensure customer receive the best possible solution or timeline for their needs. Although additional duties and related tasks may be assigned, the essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
Scheduling/Order Processing:
Assist customers with order placement by checking emails and Customer Portals for new POs and enter into the company system. Review PO by checking pricing and delivery date for each order. Confirm pricing and delivery date to customer.
Documentation:
Create Contract Review for each order. Have ability keep track of customer interactions, issues and follow through on orders placed.
Customer Interaction:
Interact with customers via phone and email to address inquiries or concerns, and provide PO status.
Communication:
Maintain clear and concise communication with customers, colleagues, and other departments to ensure orders are processed and delivered in time.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or AS degree business administration or technical related field preferred; or minimum 1-2 years of Customer Service experience in an engineering or technical environment.
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning skills to solve problems as well as work with other teams to successfully accomplish daily tasks
- Detail & Team Oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to handle customer calls and escalations with professionalism.
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Ability to multi task and maintain a professional and organized work area
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
