Duties:
Providing general assistance to clients in Russian and Ukrainian languages as clients are professional athletes and do not speak fluent English. Approximately 50 clients that speak Russian or Ukrainian.
Specific duties include:
- Assisting with many aspects of various clients’ business management, such as bill paying, applying for credit cards, assist in various concierge services, all tax related documentation filing and acting as the translator/interpreter for those transactions (30%)
- Managing clients personal affairs through translation and interpretation to the client communications with NHL, NBA and MLB team personnel, frequent conversations with CPA’s, attorneys, real estate agents, bankers, car salespeople, P&C insurance agents on various client related matters (20%).
- Assisting with travel arrangements as the translator/interpreter (10%),
- Coordinating relocation logistics as the translator/interpreter (10%
- Organizing clients’ personal information, creating clients budget as the translator/interpreter (10%)
- Scheduling appointments as the translator/interpreter with the client (10%),
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Linguistics, Interdisciplinary Studies or related field. This position requires two months of experience as translator, interpreter or related. Must be available during unconventional hours (weekends, holidays, evenings). Travel is required approximately 1 week per month to assist clients. Fluency in Russian and Ukrainian is required. Full-time.
