In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions, assist with inquiries, and contribute to maintaining a well-stocked and organized store environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies. Upsell products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales. Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and policies to effectively assist customers. Stock shelves and ensure product displays are organized and visually appealing. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change giving. Maintain cleanliness in the cashier area and throughout the store. Qualifications Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, particularly in grocery stores. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base. Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales reporting. Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone when necessary. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
