Job Description
Customer Service Representative 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Conley, GA 30288 Overview The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the primary contact for the Salson Logistics Inc.’s customers. A successful CSR will build a relationship of trust with the customer to help smooth out the occasional problem. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial as well as a keen eye toward detail and follow through to ensure a satisfied customer and a great reputation for Salson.
Responsibilities:
Confirm receipt of delivery orders from customers and on-line websites Print out a delivery order per container, circle each container and ensure container numbers and size and locations (piers) are correct. Enter all orders into the Profit Tools / Cargo Manager and TMW Systems. Also ensure each order has the number affiliated with the order in question from the website in question. Scan each delivery order into the scanner for billing to attach to each profit tools tmp# and make 2 copies of each and create folders for dispatch. Check availability 2 to 3 times a day on fcl and lcl websites along with rail sites to ensure containers are fully released and available for pick up. Print out availability for each container that is available, update profit tools with last free day, release date. Print out t-cards to place on folders and print out a spreadsheet that is created from profit tools that we prepare for dispatch. Check e-mails from customers, carriers and co-workers with questions and concerns. Communicate with dispatch and or warehouse on getting answers with containers and or freight not picked up and or delivered. Assist dispatch throughout the entire day with making, changing and updating appointments. Accept EDI in profit tools going into each order to correct and or update the dates and times and locations of deliveries. Track and trace shipments, provide status updates, and proactively address any delays or disruptions. Run daily reports for customers addressing container statuses and inspections. Linehauls /
Backhauls:
accept EDI’S and or e-mails from customers to ensure we also have rates and or get rates from the rating team for proper handling. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Additional education in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields is a plus. 2+ years of experience as a customer service representative in a call center environment or with experience receiving a high volume of calls, preferably in a logistics or warehouse environment. 1+ years of experience with Transportation Management Systems required 1+ years of experience in inventory management and order management.
