In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and contribute to a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately process transactions. Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments while ensuring proper cash management practices. Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions regarding products, promotions, and store policies. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage purchases. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing products as needed. Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and assist with pricing inquiries. Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base. Familiarity with cash register operation and basic retail math is an asset.
