Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team in Columbus, Georgia for a temporary assignment lasting just over one year. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, with prior experience in a call center or customer service environment. This position plays a vital role in providing accurate, courteous, and timely service to customers regarding water services and related account activities. High School Diploma or GED At least 6 months of experience in a customer service or call center environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and professional manner High School Diploma or GED At least 6 months of experience in a customer service or call center environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and professional manner Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Engage in day-to-day customer service activities, including processing service orders and addressing customer inquiries Provide general and detailed information to customers regarding water services, billing, and account information Receive and process requests for service installations, connections, discontinuations, and changes in service Issue appropriate work orders, service discontinuance notices, and final bills using a database system Complete contract forms, determine service charges, and prepare change-of-address records Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation for all customer interactions and service requests Investigate and resolve customer complaints, offering solutions for more complex service issues in a timely manner Calculate and apply bill rebates and adjustments as necessary Maintain updated routing plats and assist with construction quote requests for service Operate mail extraction and cash posting equipment to process incoming customer payments Handle and route general incoming mail efficiently Engage in day-to-day customer service activities, including processing service orders and addressing customer inquiries Provide general and detailed information to customers regarding water services, billing, and account information Receive and process requests for service installations, connections, discontinuations, and changes in service Issue appropriate work orders, service discontinuance notices, and final bills using a database system Complete contract forms, determine service charges, and prepare change-of-address records Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation for all customer interactions and service requests Investigate and resolve customer complaints, offering solutions for more complex service issues in a timely manner Calculate and apply bill rebates and adjustments as necessary Maintain updated routing plats and assist with construction quote requests for service Operate mail extraction and cash posting equipment to process incoming customer payments Handle and route general incoming mail efficiently This is a temporary position expected to last just over one year.
