Job Description

Dental Customer Service Representative 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 2467 Golden Camp Road, Augusta, GA 30906 Medical Associates Plus is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our dental team and be the first point of contact for our patients. This position plays a key role in maintaining an efficient front office workflow while delivering excellent service with a warm, professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors warmly and provide a positive, helpful experience from check-in to check-out. Accurately collect and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and financial details. Schedule and confirm appointments for general, cosmetic, and specialty dental services. Educate patients on financial policies and collect co-pays and balances at the time of service. Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and timely appointments. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, take detailed messages, and direct calls as needed. Process patient documentation, including consent forms, treatment plans, and referrals. Maintain accurate patient records in the dental practice management software. Follow all HIPAA and practice policies related to patient confidentiality and data security.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of front desk experience in a dental office OR 3-4 years of experience as a dental assistant with strong administrative skills. Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance processes, and treatment planning. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to excellent customer service. Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work well under pressure. High school diploma or GED required.
