DOE Job Description:
Answer phone calls in a timely manner (3 rings) and with a warm and professional greeting.
Provide necessary information, transfer the call in the appropriate manner to the designated clinic number, or complete a ticket. All operators are expected to manage at least 100 calls daily.
Create tickets by verifying unique identifiers, selecting the appropriate incident type, documenting details in the system templates and the designated notes field and directing the ticket to the appropriate clinic. The tickets should be created and completed in a manner that supports clinical staff and billing and scheduling teams in resolving tickets efficiently.
Transfer all physician-to-physician and consult calls directly to the designated physician line and warm transfer urgent calls, such as severe symptoms and critical labs, to the designated
nurse line.
When transferring calls, inform the patient where they are being transferred and to whom, and instruct them to leave a detailed message if they receive a voicemail.
Experience:
Customer service experience Call center experience preferred Healthcare experience preferred Typing skills and the ability to handle a multi-line phone system

HSD/GED High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
