Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service/Dispatcher. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination of shipments, maintaining customer satisfaction, and optimizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally. Provide accurate information about shipment status, schedules, and delivery timelines. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Dispatching:

Schedule and coordinate shipments, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery. Assign drivers and vehicles based on shipment requirements, capacity, and availability. Monitor routes and provide real-time updates to drivers to address delays or changes.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate records of shipments, communications, and dispatch logs. Prepare and distribute daily schedules and dispatch reports. Use logistics software to track and manage shipments and resources.

Problem-Solving:

Handle unexpected issues, such as delays, cancellations, or customer concerns, with urgency and professionalism. Collaborate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to find effective solutions.

Communication:

Act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations. Provide clear and concise instructions to drivers and relay feedback or updates from customers. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus. Proven experience in customer service, dispatching, or a related role, preferably in the logistics industry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in logistics software, MS Office, and route planning tools. Ability to remain calm and handle high-pressure situations effectively. Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation industry standards is preferred.
