Job Description:

Summary We’reseeking an energetic, motivated member to join our team in BatonRouge, LA. This position is a Provider Services Call Center Agent.

The primary role of the agent is to assist Healthcare Professionalswith billing requirements, policy questions and otherhealthcare-related inquires as it relates to LA Medicaid.

Responsibilities include fielding provider inquiries, researchingcomplex issues, maintaining knowledge of current billing and policychanges, and logging and tracking phone inquiries. The idealcandidate will have strong oral and written communications skills,customer service skills, telephone etiquette, and a patient andpositive attitude. Must be an independent worker, with the abilityto problem solve and multitask. The position requires navigatingmultiple computer programs and knowledge of Microsoft tools is amust. Duties and Responsibilities (List all essential duties andresponsibilities in order of importance)

  • Handle high volumeinbound calls with knowledge to address concerns from the Providercommunity.
  • Meets and retains all quality and production standardsby answering and resolving 92% of calls from Medicaid providerswithin 3-5 minutes to assure contractual requirements.
  • Interactswith providers, in a timely and professional manner when assistingthe Provider community.
  • Records calls accurately in call trackingsystem.
  • Assist co-workers to achieve and maintain departmentalobjectives and goals What we’re looking for Knowledge, Skills andAbilities (List all knowledge, skills and abilities that arenecessary to perform the job satisfactorily)
  • Ability to workindependently with little to no supervision
  • Ability to work as ateam player
  • Excellent organizational, and verbal and writtencommunication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health InsurancePortability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Ability to establishand maintain positive and effective work relationships withcoworkers, clients, members, providers and customers
  • Ability tomultitask in a high paced environment and retain information
Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

GED RequiredExperience:

1-2 years Customer Service/Call Center experience

Basicknowledge of Microsoft Office Preferred Experience:

Medicaidexperience Medical Claims experience
