This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a welcoming store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring all payments are processed correctly. Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies while providing excellent customer service. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the customer shopping experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the grocery store environment. Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is highly beneficial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience with supervising or training staff is a plus, contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.
