Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative at Trucordia, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our commercial lines clients. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for assisting with the management of and servicing of commercial insurance policies, maintaining client relationships, processing inquiries, and providing support to ensure clients’ insurance needs are met efficiently. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of commercial lines insurance products, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with producers, underwriters, and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as the primary point of contact on the day-to-day management of a book of business that consists of primarily mid-size to small commercial lines clients. This can include handling inquiries, processing changes, cancellations, audits, invoicing, quoting coverages, issuing proof of coverage, etc.
Manage the renewal process including marketing, creating proposals, binding coverage, issuing proof of coverage, documenting agency management systems, etc.
Identify opportunities for account rounding and insurance product solutions based on client’s exposures.
Initiate negotiation with carriers to ensure the most favorable and competitive terms and pricing on behalf of our clients.
Exhibit strong insurance technical expertise and deep understating of the market and carrier underwriting guidelines.
Partner with producers to manage difficult client communications and to develop strategies to overcome conflicts as they arise.
Support producers during new business placement including marketing, negotiating terms, creating proposals, binding coverage, issuing proof of coverage, documenting agency management system, etc.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and carriers.
Participate in and contribute to client and carrier meetings as needed.
Maintain a high degree of accurate client records and documentation in the agency management systems.
Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in the market, and carrier appetites.
Participate in continuing education and seek out professional advancement learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
3 years of experience within insurance industry
Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess clients’ needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical proficiency with insurance agency management systems. (AMS360)
Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License.
