Customer Experience Representative Secure the Bags New Orleans, LA 70112
Job Summary:
At Secure The Bags (STB), we’re redefining short-term storage with convenience, security, and hospitality at the core. As a Customer Experience Representative, you’ll serve as the face of the STB retail store, welcoming and assisting customers, guiding them through the tech-enabled locker system, and offering concierge-style support to ensure every interaction is smooth and memorable. This role blends retail, customer service, and light tech support in a dynamic, hospitality-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and engage all customers with warmth and professionalism upon arrival. Assist customers with navigating the STB mobile app and locker systems. Provide step-by-step support for customers with tech-related questions or usage issues. Troubleshoot basic technical issues (e.g., locker access, battery replacement) and escalate more complex issues when necessary. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and feedback. Offer concierge-style services such as local directions, recommendations, or help with personal items. Ensure all lockers and customer-accessible technology are functioning at the beginning and end of shifts. Monitor and manage lost and found procedures in alignment with company policy. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and customer-facing areas. Assist in onboarding and orienting new team members as needed. Perform opening and closing duties, including tech functionality checks and basic store readiness tasks.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills with a warm, problem-solving mindset. Comfortable with mobile and web-based applications; able to guide others through digital steps. Strong verbal communication and active listening skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced or customer-challenging environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of tech systems and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. , retail, or hospitality experience preferred. Experience working in a tech-enabled or concierge-like environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk throughout the store for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and tech devices for demonstration purposes.
Work Schedule & Environment:
This position requires weekend and evening availability depending on store hours and event schedules. Occasional travel to support pop-up or off-site STB events may be requested. We offer flexible scheduling and payroll options. This is a 1099 contract position with the potential for part-time and full-time opportunities. The pay starts at $12.00/hour plus tips.
