Full Job Description Summary:
The Field Service Advisor will support field service operations and customer interactions across Louisiana. This role includes assisting the Field Service Manager and Field Service Coordinator, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. The department handles a wide range of equipment, machinery, and heavy-duty trucks, providing versatile repair and maintenance solutions. The advisor will be a key contact for customer inquiries and service coordination, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties:
Advise customers on necessary services and explain their importance. Conduct visual inspections and communicate results to customers. Prepare detailed service tickets with time, cost, and labor estimates. Write clear descriptions of customer concerns for technicians. Explain completed work to customers and relay messages from the service department. Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly. Schedule service appointments and gather necessary data beforehand. Greet customers warmly and obtain vehicle information. Provide accurate cost estimates for labor and parts. Monitor repair progress and update customers on changes. Maintain high customer satisfaction and handle inquiries. Assist with warranty claims and reconcile accounting. Respond to requests through Prokeep and the 800 number. Coordinate technicians with the Field Service Coordinator. Manage Decisiv and Karmak FS cases. Contact customers for purchase orders and payments. Follow up on Clover payments. Ensure customers are fully informed about repairs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team. Basic understanding of equipment, machinery, and heavy-duty trucks is a plus. Experience in customer service or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using scheduling and time management software.
