In-person Shift:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM New England Orthopedic Surgeons (NEOS), a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance, is seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Call Center Representative to join our busy orthopedic practice. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy helping patients navigate their healthcare experience, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls in a professional, courteous manner Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments following provider guidelines Verify patient demographics and insurance information Efficiently handle a high volume of calls, including urgent and emergency calls Route calls and messages to the appropriate staff or department Triage clinical calls and respond to patient portal messages Process incoming referrals and faxes Communicate general practice information clearly and accurately Follow protocols for workers’ compensation appointments Complete triage forms accurately when needed Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provider schedules and practice policies
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Prior experience in a medical office or call center preferred
Skills:
Proficient in medical terminology (required) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure Familiarity with medical office software (Athena preferred) Must be able to communicate in clear, easily understandable English, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus
