Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Securities Custody Account Administrator provides detailed reviews for and assistant management of a limited number of assigned Unclaimed Property State Accounts by processing the receipt, retention, sale, tracking and reconciliation of unclaimed securities in full compliance with federal securities regulations and in accordance with all applicable unclaimed property laws and contractual obligations from specific state clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors assigned number of Unclaimed Property portfolios – State Custody Contracts. Monitors day-to-day operations of all transaction orders within assigned portfolio. Handles all customer communications. Monitors proper execution of customer instructions. Handles all telephone, fax and email communications from clients and securities transfer partners. Performs account research related to inquires as instructed by clients. Manages security account histories/certificate status research as needed: Handles research. Maintains clear, open and respectful communications with state personnel, vendors and stock transfer agents. Performs and develops accurate Entitlement Calculation spreadsheets as requested by clients. Handles finances for all accounts within assigned portfolio, including invoicing and tracking receivables. Continuously evaluates and identifies process improvements to day-to-day operations. Creates and complies reports as requested by customers or management. Assists with training and development new associates. Improves customer service quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes. Opens, distribute physical mail according to assigned procedures. Reviews DRP & Mutual Fund statements for assigned State Accounts. Updates all DRP accounts within the specified deadline. Identifies exceptions and perform research to resolution. Assists with updates for voluntary corporate action. Verifies and Issues notifications and reminders to state clients and due notices for voluntary corporate actions. Performs reconciliation of mutual fund brokerage statements received in house. Creates and compiles exceptions reports. Performs other duties and provide assistance to other team members as needed/assigned.
Education and Experience:
Experience in securities custody and Mutual Fund transaction management background is required. Preferred candidates also will have a degree in business or equivalent work experience. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A demonstrated “can-do” attitude. Detail focus yet able to provide strategic insights for day-to-day operations. Be able to converse readily with public and private sector customers. Able to work well individually and within a team. Communicate clearly. Mastery of MSWord, Access Excel. Strong self-motivation, deadline driven. Solid customer service skills with supporting experience. Multi-task capacity in deadline driven environment. Excellent prioritization skills. Proven ability to meet and exceed deadlines and goals as assigned by management.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
