Essential Job Functions Pet Sitter / Pet Taxi Conduct one-on-one dog walks along designated routes while following pet handling protocols to ensure safety and comfort. Provide additional services as needed, including administering medication, food delivery, plant watering, mail collection, trash removal, and home security checks. Follow client instructions from consultations, ensuring scheduled services such as potty breaks, walking, playtime, and feeding are met. Deliver retail products to clients and assist in carrying purchases or pet belongings to vehicles. Drive independently to and from the resort and client homes, coordinating efficient routes to ensure timely appointments. Exercise sound judgment in assessing pet behavior and promptly communicate any concerns to the client or JM Pet Resort & Veterinary Clinic. Maintain professional communication with clients via phone and email, addressing inquiries and concerns with active listening. Recognize and remember the names of pets and clients for all active accounts. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, ensuring timely arrivals for scheduled services. Perform other related duties as assigned. Client Care Representative Welcome clients into the showroom, build interpersonal connections, and assist with product selection, including food, supplements, handling tools, and toys. Follow company policies regarding vaccine verification, booking systems, and protocols for daycare, boarding, and grooming reservations. Safely admit, handle, and release pets in accordance with facility guidelines, including navigating dogs throughout the facility. Assist clients with bringing pets, pet belongings, or store purchases to their vehicles as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the showroom, stockroom, and surrounding facility, including waste disposal, snow removal, and expiration date checks. Ensure showroom etiquette through proper product rotation, replenishment, and pricing accuracy. Adhere to a flexible work schedule, including rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Demonstrate excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining positive client interactions. Be active listeners to address client questions and concerns professionally and effectively. Must be able to admit/release cats and conduct job functions with exposure to cat dander. Perform other related duties as assigned. Computer Skills Must be able to learn and effectively use Vetter, OneNote, Gingr, When I Work and Go Daddy Email, and Microsoft Office software. Must be able to learn new technology in accordance with business needs. Qualifications Must meet company insurance requirements for driving, including a minimum age of 21 and a clean driving record Valid driver’s license required Must be able to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) screening 3+ years of experience in pet care, dog walking, pet sitting, customer service, and/or retail; pet industry experience strongly preferred. Passionate about animal welfare, treating all pets with compassion, kindness, and care. Comfortable handling all dog breeds and sizes, as well as cats. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Computer-savvy with the ability to navigate multiple software platforms. Reliable, team-oriented, and dependable with a strong work ethic and high standards for self and others. Able to follow a rotating work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality. Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and climb two flights of stairs multiple times a day. Education Associate degree preferred High School Diploma required
