We are looking for a Full-Time Marine Service Advisor to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the success of the Service Department at our Sebago Marina.
Job Summary:
Marine Service Advisors will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring our customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all information necessary to create an accurate estimate. Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs. Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur. Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat. Finalize and invoice work orders. Ensure each customer has a positive service experience. Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer. Follow up after work is complete. Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of Marine Service Writer experience, preferred Strong customer service skills, in-person and over the phone. Possesses a high degree of organizational skills. Ability to create and execute a plan and to react effectively to unexpected situations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively. Thrives in a team environment. Strong computer skills. Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services. Problem solving skills. Marine parts and services knowledge is a must. Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.
Education:
Associate’s degree in business or 2 years of customer service management experience. Valid Driver’s License, required. Boater’s license, a plus.
Salary:
$50,000 – $60,000 Base + Commission, based on experience. Full-time – Year-Round
