Position Overview:

Alliant Bank is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable professional to serve as a Deposit Operations Processor. This position plays a vital role in supporting branch operations and ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of deposit-related services across the institution. The Deposit Operations Processor will interact with internal teams and external customers while maintaining the highest standard of confidentiality and operational integrity. The Deposit Operations Processor reports to the Deposit Operations Director.

    • Perform daily operational duties for all branch locations.

    Collaborate in the development and enforcement of standardized procedures for deposit operations across branches. Serve as an escalation resource for branch personnel regarding operational matters. Card Maintenance Manage and process debit card operations, including issuance, replacements, card blocking, fraud alerts, disputes, and customer support related to card transactions. Coordinate card activations and customer information changes. Transaction Processing & Error Resolution Place and release holds, process stop payments, and respond to service requests within delegated authority. Execute and verify correction entries involving non-posted items, NSF transactions, returned items, and Federal Reserve Bank adjustments. Monitor transaction accuracy and compliance with internal control standards. Customer Service Support Conduct thorough customer and account research to resolve inquiries and support holistic banking relationships. Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries via phone, email, and other communication platforms. Administrative Functions Maintain accurate and organized document records in accordance with record retention policies and audit standards. Draft and complete letters, memos, forms, service requests, and other operational documentation based on information from systems and customers. Training and Knowledge Sharing Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for branch staff regarding deposit-related processes and services. Provide cross-training to peers and branch personnel (e.g., mentor less experienced staff on bank policies, systems, and procedures). Facilitate knowledge transfer and procedural clarity to ensure continuity of operations across branches. Confidentiality Rigorously maintain the confidentiality of sensitive customer and institutional information in compliance with the Bank’s information security policies and applicable privacy laws.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications for the position include, but are not limited to, the following: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of banking operations, back-office processing, or related financial services experience. Proficiency in core banking systems and Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated knowledge of NACHA rules, Reg E, Reg CC, and UCC Articles 3 and 4 preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
