Job Description

CENTRAL SERVICES HR DEPT DATA/CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Major Functions:

Performs highly responsible, specialized duties in the coordination with the functions that are necessary for data processing of all classified applicants and existing employees with latitude for exercising judgment and discretion. Work requires initiative and judgment planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains data for all classified employees new and existing.
  • Monitors board approval for all classified employees.
  • Receives, processes, and completes Personnel & Employee Actions forms for classified employees for all locations.
  • Assist with the monitoring of position control for all classified employees.
  • Assists with salary issues and the annual salary increase process for classified employees.
  • Assist with the processing, printing, and disbursing employment notices to all classified employees new and existing.
  • Assist with generating, sending, and filing all supplemental agreements for all board approved additional pay for classified employees.
  • Works with payroll in employee setup.
  • Responsible for classified summer hourly employee setup.
  • Opens, date stamps, and distributes correspondence.
  • Responsible for providing support while maintaining a high level of professionalism and working to stablish a positive rapport with all individuals.
  • Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor or superintendent
  • Adhere to the Mississippi Code of Ethics
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all Desoto County Schools’ records

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, plus two (2) years of diversified clerical office experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Pass the district clerical test. Computer proficient. Knowledge of Microsoft Office needed. Must have highly proficient language abilities, visionary, organizational skills, and ability to communicate clearly.
