Job Description

Role Overview This entry-level position focuses on processing customer orders accurately and handling incoming service inquiries under direct supervision. The primary goal is to deliver a seamless customer experience while supporting sales and inventory functions. Key Responsibilities Manage straightforward customer inquiries, offer pricing information, and input orders using various communication platforms including phone, email, and in-person visits. Handle order transactions efficiently through multiple channels, such as phone calls, electronic systems, or walk-ins. Support revenue generation by negotiating pricing within approved guidelines, optimizing both cost and profit margins. Adjust non-standard pricing when needed to remain competitive while aligning with internal profit goals. Develop customer rapport to encourage ongoing business and contribute ideas for process enhancements. Reorder stock to maintain adequate product availability for client needs. Approve and place orders within assigned financial limits. Source products by checking in-house stock, distribution facilities, or coordinating with external suppliers. Select the most economical and timely shipping method tailored to each order. Collaborate closely with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations. Follow up on delayed shipments and, when necessary, assist in packaging and preparing items for dispatch. Coordinate product returns as part of post-sale support. Take on other assigned tasks to support the team. Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED usually required. 0-3 years of relevant work experience or a similar combination of training and employment history. Skills & Qualifications Punctual and dependable, with strong organizational skills. Effective communicator in verbal, written, and listening contexts. Able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines efficiently. Comfortable using standard business software and tools for tasks such as data entry, online searches, and email communication. Familiarity with product lines or technical items is a plus.
