• POSITION SUMMARY

• Provides efficient, courteous, confidential and professional service to Singing River’s members and the general public through all means of communication.

• JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. 
• Must possess at least two years of high-volume cash handling experience within the last five years.
• Must display excellent communication skills and be able to deal wth people in a courteous and effective manner in person, by telephone, via email and other electronic communications.

Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends when needed or in emergency situations, as Singing River electric is considered by the Department of Homeland Security to be an Essential Service Provider.

Must be able to retain the knowledge of the Cooperative’s various software such as NISC, and its company website.

Must display the ability to problem solve in a timely manner.•

DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

• Assist members with questions concerning account, billing, payment arrangements, service, capital credits, etc.

Assist members with the process, area service requirements and documents needed concerning new service request.

Responsible for accurately posting payments received in the office through mail, OBI, electronic, night deposit and/or in person.

Assist members with service orders pertaining to but not limited to; new services, reconnects and disconnects, installing, connecting and disconnecting security lights, voltage issues, and emergencies.

Assist and educate members concerning but not limited to budget billing, letters of credit, energy conservation, solar, ROW, Smarthub App and website.

Assist members, dispatcher, and servicemen during emergency widespread outages.

Updates and maintains member information in the Cooperative’s system. Receives and scans member documents and applications in accordance to SREC procedures.

Serves on a rotational basis in various other positions including the cashier drive-thru, call center, or mail/payment processing areas.
