ABOUT THE

POSITIONThe Civic Advisor will play a crucial role in providing superiormember experience with enhanced awareness and continued educationof existing products and services. This is accomplished by offeringdigital options, processing accurate and professional membertransactions and discovering member centric account solutions. TheCivic Advisor will be a part of the member’s journey in exploringfinancial goals, building trust through operational soundness andbecoming a frontline touchpoint for members and staff. At the core,the Civic Advisor will embody Civic’s values, policies and visionwhile fostering an inclusive environment for both branch staff andmembers.

NORMAL DAY-TO-DAY WORK

Demonstrates exceptional memberservice by providing personalized solutions, creating memorableinteractions and exceeding member expectations. Builds and fostersrelationships with current and potential members to increase theirfinancial well-being. Exhibits adept recognition and adjustment tomember needs while employing active listening techniques toeffectively de-escalate member concerns. Conducts thorough researchto address and resolve member inquiries, preparing necessarydocumentation as needed. Maintains and balances assigned cashdrawer daily, while following operational procedures and cashlimits. Participates in opening and closing procedures, as needed.

Accurately processes member transaction requests and responds tomember inquiries via various channels in a timely manner. Provideslobby support and maintains a strong knowledge of products andservices available to Civic members, including current promotions.

Inform members about products and services other than thoserequested based on the member’s financial information. Assists within-person opening of deposit and loan accounts by ensuring allinformation is received timely and accurately processed. Explainsloan programs to member, evaluates their needs and recommends loanoptions. Complete member and loan applications and escalate to thelending department as necessary. Participate in beta-testing forpossible workflow and process improvement and provide feedback tointernal/external resources as needed. Educates members on digitalsolutions by providing self-service alternatives to manage financesat their convenience. Participates in required meetings andtrainings while promoting a positive team environment. Sharesknowledge of member feedback and effective practices. Collaborateswith internal departments to provide a closed-loop experience formember requests. Complies with regulation, policies, procedure andoperational guidelines. Proactively assesses and mitigatesoperational risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, auditrequests and implements security measures when appropriate.

JOBQUALIFICATIONS

Here are a few qualifications you MUST have to bequalified for this position. Minimum 1 – 3 years of customerservice experience, or a Bachelor’s degree. High school diploma orequivalent. Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonalcommunication skills. Demonstrated strong customer service skills.

Notary Public in North Carolina, or ability to achieve in the first6 months of employment. PC proficient, including Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and the Internet.

Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment andutilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC,copier, telephone, etc. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (fileboxes, computer printer). Travel required on occasion. Here are afew qualifications we’d LIKE for you to have. Credit Union memberservice experience.
