Customer Service Representative Job Description The customerservice representative is responsible for processing ordersreceived by mail, telephone, fax or e-mail. Provide customersupport and information in response to inquiries, concerns andrequests about an order or product. Duties Processing orders,including changes to ensure accuracy. Update customer recordsaccordingly Processing payments Customer portal management andinvoicing Issuing return authorizations for a product issueOrganize shipments, including international shipments and necessarydocumentation, ASN’s Coordinate with production management forproduct delivery Manage blanket agreements Cross train in all areasof the office Coordinate pricing updates as necessary for customerorders Other duties as required Experience Experience withMicrosoft Office Suite, proficiency in Outlook. Knowledge of Excel,EDI orders, JIT reporting and AS400. Experience using SAP or ERPtype system, including retrieving purchase orders andconfirmations. Submitting ASN’s and changes. Communicates well withshipping, production, and inspection departments. Must be anorganized individual with a sense of urgency. Prompt follow up withcustomers. 1 to 3 years of customer service experience. Experiencewith shipping, logistics, coordinating with customers to set upshipments. Ability to effectively prioritize and perform multipletasks simultaneously. Ability to maintain a high volume of e-mailsand phone calls.
