  • Billing and Administrative Support personnel provide customer focused support for a variety of vehicle related issues and provides critical support for billing and administrative functions of the company. On a typical day, Service Writer
  • Billing and Administrative Support personnel will interact with customers, employees, management, and other partners including suppliers and vendors. They must always maintain a positive attitude and appearance and be willing to find a resolution for any challenge they face. Job Summary As a Service Writer

  • Billing and Administrative Support, you will be coordinating new or existing repair service requests.

The overall job includes but is not limited to: answering telephones, communicating with customers regarding our services offered and associated costs, receiving/entering call information into shop management software, and communicating with customers regarding the status or cost of repairs. Serve as the primary customer relationship manager for the company and ensure an open line of communication between customers and company personnel. Provide billing and administrative support to company management team. Provide automotive repair support to shop operations and personnel. Job Duties Interact with customers regarding new or existing repair service requests. Document all details regarding service needs based on customer provided information. Educate customers regarding our company’s products, services, and offers. Enter, modify, update, and retrieve information using a variety of technology. Schedule appointments, receive orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges and costs, and process payments by cash, credit, or debit card. Initiates, documents, completes, and submits repair service requests in a timely manner. Disseminate information to shop personnel, customers, management, and vendors. Order, track, and receive parts and supplies. Review customer accounts and report changes to appropriate company staff. Perform automotive repairs as requested by supervisor/management. Perform North Carolina Safety and/or Emission Inspections on customer vehicles. Maintain all equipment in a clean and working order and ensure your work area is clean, organized, and clutter free. Adhere to all company policies as well as NHTSA, USDOT, and OSHA safety guidelines related to the work performed. Routinely attend classroom or online training to remain current on trending industry standards and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as requested, including but not limited to general office clerical work, cleaning and organizing. Requirements and qualifications for hiring consideration Must be at least 20 years’ old Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have a reliable transportation to and from work location Must have a valid driver’s license Must be willing to submit to and pass drug/alcohol screening and background check Must be very motivated to perform well under any conditions with the ability to be self-disciplined and self-driven with very little direct supervision Must have experience using a smart phone, computer, telephone system and general office equipment Must have the capability to monitor and use a variety of technology to receive/send information pertaining to repair services, including but not limited to computers, tablets or other mobile devices, telephone, and email communications Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Must exhibit excellent interpersonal relation skills and practice/demonstrate superb customer service skills Must be able to obtain North Carolina Safety and Emission Inspection License within 6 months of employment Must be available to work shifts consisting of 8 to 10 hours Experience in customer service/customer facing role, preferably in an auto repair or body shop setting (Required) Working conditions Customers require services for their vehicles and our company will be in operation during all types of weather conditions and environments and our Service Writer

  • Billing and Administrative Support personnel are expected to report to work and perform their job regardless of the weather conditions they face.

All work will be indoors in an office setting with heat/air conditioning, electricity, telephone, internet, water, and restrooms or in a shop environment. Physical requirements Candidates must be able to stand, sit, crouch, stoop, bend, reach, twist and perform most duties at a desk/workstation for 8-10 hours at a time.
